This specialization focuses on the study of relations between the chemical structure and physical properties of materials.
Students deepen their knowledge of the properties, application, and processing aspects of glass and ceramics, metals and alloys, plastics and rubber, materials for electronics, or composite structures. Students can also learn about materials corrosion and prevention, the application of hybrid and biomaterials, and the surface functionalization of materials.
Careers
If graduates decide not to pursue a Master degree, they will find employment in the production and processing of materials industrial sector. Graduates will have sufficient knowledge to apply for positions in R&D companies or laboratories focused on the testing and quality control of materials.
